I am a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with more than 20 years’ experience working with children, young people, adults and families. I offer psychoanalytic psychotherapy, EMDR and professional consultation.
Experience and approach
My professional background includes specialist NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), adult mental health services, local-authority social care, therapeutic residential care and independent fostering services.
I have particular experience of working with trauma, loss, disrupted relationships and the emotional impact of being looked after, fostered or adopted.
My approach is psychoanalytic and relational. Where clinically appropriate, EMDR may be offered as a focused treatment or used alongside psychotherapy.

Qualifications and training
I trained with the British Association of Psychotherapists, now the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF), completing a professional doctoral-level training in Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
I also hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, a master’s degree in Psychoanalytic Studies and a postgraduate diploma in the Psychodynamics of Human Development, which included a two-year infant observation.
In 2023, I completed accredited training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) with EMDR UK.
Current professional roles
I currently work as a Consultant Psychotherapist for an independent therapeutic residential organisation and as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist for an independent fostering agency working across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire and London.
I am also an Intensive Case Supervisor for the British Psychotherapy Foundation. From 2010 to 2019, I contributed to the BPF, Anna Freud Centre and University College London doctoral training in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy as a seminar leader, year tutor and progress adviser. I returned to the training as an Intensive Case Supervisor in 2026.
Alongside these roles, I provide clinical supervision, consultation, reflective practice and training to professionals, teams and organisations.
Professional registration
I am a registered member of the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP) and practise in accordance with its professional standards and code of ethics.
